We are writing this letter to highly recommend American Remodeling Contractors, Inc. for the 2008 Better Business Bureau Integrity Award.

In the summer of 2007 a severe storm with large hail and high winds came through Belle Plaine and damaged our home. We contacted Heidi of ARC and that day she and Dan both came to our house and inspected the damage. What they found was shingle, fascia, gutter, and siding damage. I then contacted my Insurance Agent and filed a claim. When the Adjustor came to our house, Dan was there to meet him and together they inspected the home. The adjustor agreed with everything Dan referenced except for the level of damage to the shingles. At that time we agreed with Dan to begin the approved repairs while we worked with my insurance company to re-evaluate the significant shingle damage to our roof.

About a week after the initial insurance inspection we received our claim check from the insurer so we contacted Heidi to begin the work. She came to our home on a Thursday evening which was convenient for us and we chose a totally new siding color. We decided to leave the fascia, soffit, and gutters white so no changes were made there. We were told that due to the color and style of siding we chose it would be about a week before they could start. About 7am Tuesday morning of the next week, the 3rd business day after we chose our siding, Heidi called to tell us that the siding crew was on its way and that the new siding was being delivered that morning around 9. Before 7:30 the crew was there and before the siding was even delivered they had over half of the old siding already removed.

The siding crew completed the siding and fascia work by mid-day Thursday and did an exceptional job of keeping the work area clean and projecting a very professional image.

A few days later the gutter crew came in and completed their work in the same professional and quality manner. After each of these crews completed their work, Heidi came to our home to look over the finished project and answer any questions we many have had.

It took about 2 months to work out the roofing issue with my insurance provider, but with Dan and Heidi working with my agent the full roof replacement was approved. Again, ARC exceeded our expectations in completing the job quickly, professionally, and with a high degree of quality.

After all of this work that was done, I expected to find nails, staples, pieces of siding and shingles all through the yard. This was not the case. ARC personnel left the property as tidy as it was when they arrived. In the months since ARC completed their work, we have received many compliments from relatives, friends, and neighbors about the results of our storm repairs. We firmly believe that they work completed by ARC is of better quality than that of the original home builder.

Based upon our experience with ARC, we have highly recommended them to our friends and neighbors. If we have the need for hiring a contractor in the future, ARC will be our contractor of choice.
